No Make-Up Selfie

I have decided to write about the No Make-Up Selfie that everyone is doing right now. I think it's a wonderful cause and I participated in it. Basically, girls are taking pictures of themselves without make-up on and posting them on different social network sites like Facebook and Twitter and then that person nominates other people to take part in it. It's helping to spread cancer awareness as well as raising money for Cancer research. It's already made over £1 million in 24 hours because of this trend and I think it's a wonderful thing to do. Boys have also started to take part in it by posting pictures of themselves wearing make-up. It's such a fantastic thing to do! I decided to take part in it because my Grandpa had cancer just over a year ago and although he survived and beat cancer, there are so many people who don't. Apparently 1 in 3 people will suffer from cancer at some point in their lives and this figure needs to be reduced. It's nice to see that everyone is coming together to try and beat cancer.

This was the picture I uploaded to Facebook. I know, I know, it's a bad picture but it's for a good cause so I don't care. As well as uploading a make-up free picture I also donated £10 to Cancer Research UK. I fully intend to donate more in the future.

Show me your ‪#‎nomakeupselfies‬, I'd love to see them! If you would like to donate some money, you can donate £3 to cancer research by texting BEAT to 70099, or you can simply visit their website and donate however much you want!

3 Day Juice Cleanse

Today I started a 3 day juice cleanse and I can honestly say it is amazing! I only started today and I already feel a lot better for it! You don't have to do the recipes which are shown above, you can add your own stuff into it as long as you only have fruit and vegetables. Juice cleanses are really good for you and can help you fit into your jeans, boost your mental clarity, improve the state of your skin, regulate digestion, and, most importantly, remove toxins from your system—which is the key thing.  The fact my skin would look better afterwards was reason enough for me to give it a go.

It's easy to do. All you have to do is put all of your ingredients into a blender and hey  presto, you've got yourself a delicious drink which is incredibly healthy! It lasts for 3 days but you can do a 5 day cleanse.

Let me know if you decide to give it a go and tell me some recipes you're going to try out. I'd love to hear from you all! :-)

Girls: How to boost your confidence

I've decided to do something a little different for this post. This post isn't going to be all about beauty and fashion, this post is going to be all about confidence and great ways to boost it. After all, confidence is attractive! (Well, unless you're really cocky about it) I wanted to share some great confidence boosting tips with you and I really hope they help you or someone you may know. I've always been really quiet and shy and because of that nobody has noticed me. The older I get and the more I do, the more confident I'm getting and I've started to do things outside of my comfort zone which a year ago, I never would have done. I'm so much happier now! I'm wearing what I want, I'm wearing bright lipsticks, I've started talking to random people. I know those are just little things but I never would have done it a year ago. I felt comfortable just fitting in with the crowd and going unnoticed. Well not any more. We are all individuals and we all deserve to be noticed. Below are a few confidence boosting tips, enjoy lovelies! :-)

 Be sociable

People with low self-esteem isolate themselves from others quite often. Don't be afraid of meeting new people! If you see someone you think you'd get along with just go and talk to them. You have absolutely nothing to lose and more often than not, you'll regret it if you don't. Everyone gets nervous when they talk to new people, it's only natural. Don't let your fear of doing something stop you from living your life.

Be ambitious

Set yourself a big goal and a deadline and try your hardest to achieve it. It might be hard to do but it'd be worth it in the end. If you want to lose some weight because it'd make you happy, do it. If you want to learn to play an instrument, do it. The world is your oyster, you just have to be brave enough to live your life. Achieving your goals will give you a positive change in your life and you'll be a lot happier.

Do something notable

Try and do something that will make you different from everyone else. You could try and volunteer somewhere or show off your talents? There is so much you can do. Stand out from the crowd and make people notice you.

 Go to the gym

Sport is one of the best things you can do if you have really low self esteem! Looking good on the outside is all about feeling good on the inside. If you feel comfortable in your own body it's a huge confidence boost! Try practising a new sport or even just spend a bit of time at the gym. You'll feel a lot healthier afterwards.

No one is Perfect

Remember, nobody is perfect. We all have flaws and insecurities. Everybody hates something about themselves. You're not alone! But just because you hate something about yourself doesn't mean somebody won't love that "something" about you.  Just focus your attention on more important and positive things!

Zit Removal

I know a lot of my posts have been related to getting rid of acne and spots lately, but, I think it's a really important thing to know. A lot of people get depressed about having spots, me included, so I thought I would share all my beauty tips with you. If you have any tips you would like to share comment below or leave me a message via the comment box. I would love to hear from you all!

Below is another great picture I have found. Let me know what you think of it!

Hope you found this useful, lovelies!

The Acne Chart

Most people if not everyone will find themselves suffering from an acne breakout at some point in their lives due to different reasons. Having acne doesn't necessarily mean your skin is dirty though so don't worry about it. Sometimes over cleansing can actually do your skin more harm than good, so be careful!

I recently found an acne chart online and I thought it was brilliant so I thought I would share it with you guys.

Points to remember:

  • Drink 2 litres of water everyday if possible and eat healthily
  • Wash your face for at least one minute straight, two times a day
  • Never sleep with make-up on.
  • Use sulfur-containing cleansers
  •  Retinoid cleansers contain ultra-high levels of vitamin A, which help to clean out clogged pores and dissolve away grime
  • Use a face mask 2-3 times a week.
  • Try tea tree oil because it's an antibacterial agent.
  • Use a toner after cleansing
  • Always apply a moisturiser
  • Get at least 8 hours of sleep every night.

If you have any other tips on getting rid of acne then let me know. Remember, everyone has acne at some point in their lives so don't be embarrassed. It's perfectly normal and it's easy to treat!

Recent Purchases

First and foremost, I just want to apologize for not uploading more. I have been so busy at college and I have had a lot of NABs and essays to be handed in and I just haven't had the time to make any blog posts. After Tuesday the 18th (I think) I will have a lot more free time and can upload more so keep a look out for more posts!

I went shopping last Friday and I really loved the things I bought so I thought I'd share what I bought with you guys! I didn't buy that much actually which is a first for me. Again, my camera is still broken so my pictures aren't all that good. They will improve though, promise! :-)

The first thing I bought was this stunning pale pink floral double tier cami from Newlook. If you read my last blog post then you would know that I absolutely love flowers and floral print so this top was perfect for me. I think it's a perfect addition to my wardrobe and it is definitely a lot more summery. I have certainly left winter and all the cold weather it brings behind. It looks stunning on. I have worn it already. If you want to see what I have teamed it with, comment below and I will do an outfit of the day when I next wear it. :-)

If you want to buy this beauty it's only £14.99 from Newlook. I absolutely love Newlook and the prices make me love it even more. 10 points to Newlook!

Whilst in Newlook, I spotted this black daisy print peplum top. I've never had a peplum top before so I thought it was about time I bought myself one. I wasn't entirely sure if I was keen on it at first but I thought I'd buy it anyway. After all, I could always return it later on in the week if I really didn't like it. For £8/£9 though, it was a bargain. I really like the way it looks on. I hate my hips and thighs and like then being covered a little but this made me look so much thinner. I've never been much of a jeans girl but this top has made me change my mind a little. Team this with some black skinny's, cute shoes and a jacket and you have yourself a great outfit!
The next thing I bought was this stunning dress and oh my word, there are no words to describe how much I love it. It is now my favourite dress! I have only worn it once since I got it and so many people came up to me and told me how much they loved it. It looks really nice on. If you want to see how I wore it, comment below and I'll do an outfit of the day on this dress as well. It is from Newlook (Surprise, surprise) and it was a wonderfully low £19.99 which is such great value for a beautiful dress. I think the collar also adds a nice little touch to it. And I could seriously go on for ages about how much I love this dress, but I won't.

Okay, I think this next item is the last thing I bought from Newlook. This black border print cami was only £9.99 from Newlook just in case you decide to buy it. It looks lovely with a pair of jeans. It's such a great fit and the pattern on it is stunning! To be honest, I don't think I need to say much about this top other than just go to your nearest Newlook store/go online here and have a look at it for yourself. It's a really lovely top!

The next item I bought was this bracelet from Accessorize. It was on sale at the time, 70% off. I got it for around £4.00 which I was happy about. There were quite a lot left in store so if you visit your local Accessorize store, you might be able to find one. I got it purely because of the Elephant. I tend to buy anything with Elephants on because they're my favourite animal. Definitely going to use this fab bracelet a lot.

The next item I bought was this flower bracelet from Quiz. I got this for £4.50 and it was also on sale. I thought this was cute and again, I'm a sucker for flowery things. I think it'd make any outift look cute and it just awww, it's adorable. Haha. I love this bracelet so much. I've worn it a few times and both times people have said that it looks cute, oh and my English teacher said I looked "Springy" which was kind of nice.. Haha. Also, it's great for the summer. I'm definitely leaving winter behind now. I'm getting so bored of all this cold weather now (Unless it's snow. I don't mind being cold if it's because of snow) I just want it to be hot and sunny again.

The next item I bought was this skirt. I bought it from Boohoo for around £10.00. I don't usually buy print skirts like this but I wanted to try something different for a change. I must admit, I hated it when I first saw it and I was going to send it back, but after spending a few hours wearing it, it grew on me. It looks really nice with a pair of black tights and a pretty top. Kind of glad I kept it now. I'm definitely going to start buying more skirts like this one.

The last items I bought were these babies.

I'm a big shoe girl so I was so glad that I picked these two up for just £5 each. They were both on sale, obviously. Better you can't guess where these are from.. Haha. Yes, they're from Newlook. Yayyyyy!

Both pairs are absolutely fabulous! I've been looking for a pair like the top for agessss now. I never noticed them in Newlook before so I was impressed when I got some in the sale. They are a beautiful red colour. Not too dark, not too bright. They are just perfect!

The second pair remind me a little of a carpet. I think that's the reason why I like them so much to be honest with you. They're floral shoes as well so it was just perfect. They are both really comfortable to wear as well which is always a bonus! If you go to your local Newlook store or have a look online, you might be able to find a really good deal as well. Hurry though, the sale won't last forever. It's a good sale as well, trust me!

Let me know what you think of this post by commenting below. Also, I might do a "What's in my makeup bag" blog post tomorrow, what do you think?
